Look at the page in our course reader that has the "Quotation Method" we used in the ID Quote Essay. It has some other approaches to beginning an essay, too. I can't remember what page it's on and I'm not at home right now so I can't tell you the page number.
Remember this is a draft. Do you best to get your ideas about Bless Me, Ultima down on paper in some sort of essay format and we will go into everything in much more detail on Monday.

LITERARY ANALYSIS
In the book by Rodolfo Anya, Tony learns good is better than evil from
family and friends.
When Tenorio’s daughters died he blamed Ultima. He tried to trick
everybody into thinking that Ultima is a witch. He has everyone come with there
torches and trucks to get Ultima and take her to jail. Tony his dad and his uncle stick up for Ultima
IS THAT GOOD OR DO I NEED TO WORK ON IT?!? I NEED MAJOR HELP SOMEONE ANSWER CUZ IM DIEING AND I DONT HAVE MUCH TIME.

Hang in there everybody! I sent you off for the weekend to figure out your essays, and I knew it would be tough. I think you've done some good work, though. Remember that writing is a process and much of the hardest stuff comes before you ever start writing and then after you've finished a draft. Today in class we will spent a LOT of time on this and I promise you will feel better about it when you leave. Bring what you have even if it's not a completed essay. I wasn't expecting a completed essay, so if you have one then that's bonus for you! See you all soon.
