Out of curiosity, who in the class watches Japanese anime (And not that English dubbed kind! Pure, subbed japanese anime)?

Quick! Post what genre of anime you like and your favorite anime! You know you want to...

I am seriously recommending Serial Experiments Lain and Mai-HiME this year. I know some of you ::coughCindycough:: are already backlogged on series to watch, but that won't stop me. :O

Bonus points if you know where my avatar is from.

Who? What does it matter? Or…do you need a name to describe me? A definition by words is merely a means to deceive oneself. It's meaningless before the truth. What matters is how you perceive things. The slightest shift, then life and death no longer have any meaning

:O! Anime!

Erm, I guess I like mostly shojo anime, like Ouran High School Host Club, Paradise Kiss, La Corda d'Oro, and whatnot although I am a fan of Deathnote (Well, the manga, not the anime), Hunter x Hunter, and Shaman King.

I read more than I watch, though.

.hack//Sign, amiright? :O

I watch Naruto and Bleach reglarly, but I'm not so much of a fan lately...their animation has been going downhill since I can't remember.

I like Samuray 7 and Kiddy Grade (err, despite the ZOMGWTF outfits). It's too bad they're not more popular...and they don't have that many episodes either. Watch them anyways O:

I used to watch DeathNote. But it annoyed me that all the episodes I found on YouTube were subbed with narrow white text stroked with red.

I remember discussing this last year. It's best to download series like that and only watch stuff like Naruto and Bleach and other excessively long series on YouTube.

::sigh::

Just read Death Note instead. It's much better in its manga form as the anime cuts out a lot of key information.

Please please, I'm sure we're all educated anime fans here, yes? Provide some support and reasons to your favorites.

i like basicly anything that has some nonrealistic caracters and i love drama and action.

Oh I love drama. It's deliciously amazing.

But... I don't really see any drama series in your list there. :/

Also, I disagree about nonrealistic characters. It takes a realistic character for full empathy and manipulation of emotion. I'm afraid something unbelieveable simply doesn't meet a storyline's full potential in case of mental stimulation.

I personally prefer fantasy over real life
