Photoshop Exercises
Make a webpage and place the following six images on it. The person with the single funniest or most creative image will get to come with the winning Nethunt group for pizza or ice cream on Monday at 12 PM!
-
Create an image of President Bush superimposed on a tropical beach, and be sure to add other random characters. File must be saved as a 24-bit .png or .jpg and be under 300 kilobytes.
-
Superimpose a picture of Kass somewhere scary! A cemetery, a haunted mansion, etc... Save as a 24-bit .png and file must be under 600 kilobytes in size.
-
Place Trevor somewhere Southeast Asia (jungle or urban setting). Image must be between 650 and 750 pixels wide, and under 450 kilobytes.
-
Make a goofy picture with your TA being the main subject. Width must be at least 650 pixels, but again under 300k in size.
-
Create a 32 by 32-pixel icon with a custom made logo. Save as an 8-bit .png or .gif file.
-
Create a transparent png.
Resumé
Create a webpage for your own resumé. We realize that you guys don't have a lot of qualifications to put on a resumé at the moment, but that's okay... you can make that stuff up. The idea is that you can make one for yourself right now or what you think you'll be like in ten years... or you can pick a celebrity and make a resumé for them!
Use whatever HTML/CSS tools that you know so far to make it look nice.
Some example resumés for ideas of what to make it look like / what to put on it:
-
Type in "resume" into Google image search
Journal Question
What is your handle (screen name) for most sites/IMing/E-mail? Does this internet persona differ much from you in real life? In other words, are you overall the same person online as you are in real life? I know lots of people who are a lot more outgoing and crazy online than they are in real life, and sometimes the case can be the opposite. If this is the case for you, why do you think these differences occur for you? I highly doubt anyone in the class is exactly the same online as offline, so don't you use that answer as a cop out from answering more questions. Are you more creative in one world than the other? What is it about the internet or real life that changes the way you express yourself or your ideas?
