Who's checking our work?

Are the TA's checking our logs or are the instructors checking the logs?

Someone once said that love is more powerful than hate. To hate is to care and to care is to love. Either way, you still love. They're not so different.

Uhm... and more. :-) Former instructors and course visionaries are, too.

Not so incidentally, if you're the slightest bit interested in being a TA for TIC in future summers, you'd be well-advised to be more expansive in journal/weblog responses. One-sentence answers to questions that would benefit from more thoughtful replies won't cut it, to those who may recommend you for TAships in said future. (Not to mention to those who--well the 'one' who--does the hiring of said TAs.) ;p

p.s.: thread title ought to begin "Who's..." ;-)

As Lloyd says... basically everyone who wants to is reading them.

But if you meant for the progress evaluations, it's only the TAs' and instructors' opinions that count.

I write, like, freaking 1948793475739485734-word long essays for each answer =="

Whoever's got my logs, have fun.

[edit] I'd LIKE to TA, but I don't think I'd be much use e.e"

Hmm. I don't see why not? Don't sell yourself short so soon. ^_^ Everyone has potential to be a TA/peer mentor. The rudiments are simple: (1) mastery of fundamental XHTML/CSS coding (advanced code fu/skillz not required but would be a huge bonus); (2) thoughtful responses to journal questions <i>plus</i> a notable interest in online writing (aka weblogging); (3) demonstrable maturity.

There are some other key things, hinted at in the interstices of those 3 points, but I'll leave that to your imagination and intelligence to deduce. ;-) (Or, you can ask your group TA or any other TA in class ::chuckle::.)

I think I failed on (3).
