Since we were pushing things pretty fast last week, we're gonna slow down a little for today and possibly Wednesday as well, to give everyone a breather and a chance to get everyone up on the same page. We were in a hurry to give you guys all the basic material you needed and now that you've got it, we'll take some time to let you master it before moving on to more advanced stuff.

CSS Exercise
Make a webpage for the class syllabus. Like the "Home Page Goals" exercise, all you need to do is copy/paste the information into your own HTML document and mark it up. Use CSS to modify the document's appearance. It doesn't have to look exactly like it does on the TIC site, but you should try to follow the basic rules. (i.e. use a table for the basic course info, use a list for the grading section, etc.)
Feel free to add color if you like, since the current syllabus is pretty plain, and upload to your FTP and link via your index as always.
Journal questions
(from the powerpoint)
-
What do you think of the Digital Divide? How much of a problem might the Divide be? How, if at all, does the Digital Divide affect you?
-
How has the Internet enhanced your learning experience?
-
How does the Internet penetration of your region compare to others? Why might that be the case?
