Description:This extremely fast-paced, one-year AP Calculus course will cover all of the material for the Calculus AB AP examination in May 2006: introduction to differential and integral calculus of functions of one variable, with applications and an introduction to transcendental functions; techniques of integration; applications of integration; infinite sequences and series; first-order ordinary differential equations; second-order ordinary differential equations; oscillation and damping; series solutions of ordinary differential equations. For an additional fee, students in this class will have the option of taking Saturday review classes in the spring of 2006 to prepare for the AP examination in May of 2006. Materials: You are expected to keep a three-ring binder dedicated to this course only. The binder should be divided into four sections: Homework, Classwork, Notes, and Exams. It is crucial that you keep this binder well organized, clean and legible; in order for you to be able to refer back to your notes in later years or during the summer. There will be random binder checks during the summer, so make sure you keep them clean! You will also need a scientific calculator.
