Here are the assignments:
(note: assignments are written on the day they are assigned)
Wednesday, July 27. Review
- Study for the final exam!! (It will be an AP test, with 4 essays and 120 Multiple Choice). This is the home stretch!! There will be an hour of review before we start the test, but don't come late, or you will be marked absent and won't be able to take the final. GOOD LUCK!!!

Monday, July 25. Body System Presentations
- do a lab write-up for 10C, the Daphnia lab
- finish your study guide and bring it on Wednesday; they're checking it.
- if you haven't done your human body presentation, be ready to do that. (If you have, then post it online.. under projects to the right)
- start study for Final, maybe..
- Develop questions for final review (that's what it says on the assignement sheet)

Friday, July 22. Animal Behavior; Physiology
Hw:
- Finish human body projects for Monday. (presentations)
- write up Pill-bug Lab, aka Lab 11A (not the Student-design experiment, just the first part.)
- complete circulation lab in book. (Lab 10A and 10B)
- be prepared for Lab 10C
- complete study guide for Wednesday; we will be graded on completion.

Wednesday, July 20. Physiology. (but Ecology, actually..)
Hw:
- Read chapters 45-49, and do the respective chapters in the study guide. Also, you might want to read the other chapters that we have skipped (26-28, 51) because you'll have to read them sometime before the final.
- do a lab write-up for Lab 12B. (not 12A. Just finish that in the book)
- be ready for labs 10 and 11. So that means do the lab bench activity, etc.
- find pill bugs, aka Roly Polys. (sp??) 5-10 of them. This is for the lab. If you can find more, bring them, because some people might not be able to find some.
- you might want to start thinking about your physiology presentation. It's due Monday. I typed up the handout/instructions/rubric and you can download it here (pdf) in case you need the handout that we got today.

Monday, July 18. Ecology
Hw:
- read chapters 40-44 and do the respective chapters in the study guide.
- do a lab write-up for Lab 9: transpiration. Click here for the class data. (pdf) If you want the original excel spreadsheet, I can post it/ email it to you. And, apparently one of the groups wanted to change something, so that might not be the final data. I'm not sure what they want to do. (Andy's group)
- read Lab 10 and do the Lab Bench activity online.
- complete the course evaluation.

Friday, July 15. Transpiration
Hw:
- read chapters 50, 52-55 (even though it says 56 on the sheet, but our book doesn't have 56) and do the respective chapters in the study guide. Bring your study guide on Monday! They are checking it.
- no lab write up yet for lab 9. (ammendment to earlier)
- read lab 12 and do the lab bench activity online
- Draw your pictures! (one each for the life cycles of Bryophytes, terrophytes, gymnosperms, angiosperms)

Wednesday, July 13. Eukaryotic Diversity
Hw:
- read chapters 36-39 and do the respective chapters in the study guide
- read lab 9 and do the lab bench activity
(and go name plants... just kidding =)

Monday, July 11. Evolution
Hw:
- read chapters 29-31 & 35 in the book and do the respective chapters in the study guide. (no, that's not a typo. we have two fewer chapters to read than it says on the assignment sheet)
- finish Lab 8. (we don't have to do a write-up, but it will be graded in the book sometime)
- complete chapter 35 and the Three-Domain survey in the study guide
- work on taxonomy project due Wednesday . Go here to download the rubric of how it will be graded. (pdf)

Friday, July 6. Midterm
Hw:
- read chapters 22-25 and do the respective chapters in the student workbook
- writeup pGLO lab. (don't do the analysis from the book... do the questions she wrote on the board in class, since we did a slightly different lab. Click here if you need to see the questions. (pdf format)
- work on Taxonomy project. Have a rough outline at least for whatever you are doing (i.e. slides if you are doing a powerpoint, etc.) For this project, you will need to read chapter 32 to get a basic understanding; you can't just pick out the information from the chapter on your subject is what the teachers said. Yay, so that just means more reading.. If you need to see the guidelines, click here. (pdf)
- Read lab 8 and do the lab bench activity

Wednesday, July 6. "Review," and learn some more stuff..
Hw:
- study for the midterm (all of Chapters 1-21!) the format: basically an AP exam: walk in and write 4 essays in 90 minutes. Then, take a very short break then do the multiple choice. (about 100 questions is what Mr. Martinez said.)
- write up 2 labs: Meiosis (3B) and Electrophoresis (6A). (note: you don't have to do the graph for 6B, because that's what Ms. Sjoberg said. Just do the data tables and answer all the questions)

Tuesday, July 5. (Aaa! July already!) DNA Technoloty
Hw:
- Read chapter 20 and do the workbook. (also bring your workbook tomorrow, since they will be checking it)
- Be ready for Meiosis (3B) and pGLO lab (6A) - read the handout we received, because you need to know what you are doing for the lab.
- if you have time, you might also want to start thinking about studying for the midterm on Friday. (ch.1-21)...

Friday, June 1. Molecular Genetics
Hw:
Read chapters 18-20 in the book and complete the respective chapters in the study guide.
Read pGLO lab 6a (Transformation) and Lab 6B (Electrophoresis)
