Wernicke's area is located in the posterior portion of the temporal lobe aka the hearing lobe. Wernicke's area specializes in speech comprehension. Wernicke's area is stimulated when speech is heard and comprehended and Broca's area is stimulated during generation of speech. yay for psychology! if you haven't taken psychology...take it. it's fun..seriously.
Question/demand: Name at least six differences between prokaryotes and eukaryotes.
| 2005/07/23 21:50:14 PDT by waterwings |
1. Eukaryote cells have a nucleus and Prokaryotes don't.
2. In cell division, prokaryotes don't undergo mitosis or meiosis, whereas eukaryotes do.
3. The DNA replication in prokaryotes is at a single origin of replication, whereas there are multiple origins of replication in eukaryotes.
4. In a prokaryote, the DNA is circular whereas in a eukaryote, it is linear.
5. In cell division, there are spindles in eukaryotes, but not prokaryotes.
6. In transcription, there is RNA processing in eukaryotes, but not in prokaryotes.
