"Wake up Alton!" screamed my cousins, "Get up! Lets go!" As I quickly jolted upward I rapidly put on my clothes and ran out the room. As I scurried down the stairs I jumped and slide across the nice smooth hardwood floor. As I ran to my cousins, they stared at me with an impatient look waiting for me to get ready. My cousins, Amber, Nicole, Shannon, Ashley, and my brother, Aaron, and I piled into the car and we were soon off to Six Flags. As the long car ride progressed I thought about all the past rides I have been on. My first upside down roller coaster was Demon, which was not that fun because the hoops were very short and not thrilling. Then I thought about the best roller coaster before I went on Medusa, Top Gun. Top Gun was a great ride because it had huge loops and many corkscrews and it is over a lake so it feels good when the wind picks up some water.
When we got there we strolled around looking for a ride to go on. Shannon led us through the park and she told us we were gonna go on one of the best rides first, Medusa. As I walked toward Medusa my cousin, Shannon was describing Medusa. Her description was that this ride was filled with many loops and turns with incredible speed. At last we came to Medusa. This was a ride of a lifetime. It had a green metal with a purple zigzag design and on the inside were imprints of many snakes in it. I saw all the gigantic loops, double loops, and corkscrews that this ride had. All the shrieks of the passengers always make this ride come more alive. The line was twisted and turned like a snake. The zigzag lines curled around each other while ascending up stairs into a tall balcony where you would get on this ride.
As I stepped into the green snake cart I sat into the soft black leather and put on the top safety strap. I looked around and saw my cousins pile in the six-person cart. As the announcer told us all the safety rules my cousins and I ignored it and talked about what we should do after Medusa. As we decided to get something to eat after the ride the cart jerked forward slowly. We crept into a dark tunnel hearing a high-pitch laughing shriek. As we emerged from the tunnel we started up a bumpy slope. Then we shot downward going through the first big loop. After that we spun into a corkscrew, which lead to a double loop. This double loop was something new that happened to me on this ride. This next loop was very small so that once it finished the loop it went straight into a corkscrew loop. After this corkscrew loop the ride ended with a final spinning in a ball shape form. As we pulled into the beginning area I felt very awkward. It was a weird feeling, I could feel an adrenaline rush because of the loops and the corkscrews on the ride. It made me dizzy so I stumbled out of the ride and walked down the ramp. After we descended the ramp we walked off to lunch. The rest of the day had other rides, but none were as good as Medusa.
